Memorial Hospital at Gulfport will receive Sealed Bids with Qualification Statements until May 22, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. for the furnishing of all labor and material and performing all work necessary and incidental to BID the Interventional Radiology (IR) Room Equipment Replacement And Two Operating Rooms Build Out – Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, in accordance with Drawings and Project Manual. This project will be completed as a Multiple Prime Contract Construction Manager Advisor (CMa) delivery method for all work required by the Contract Documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained within the Official Bid Documents. Bids will be received on four prime contract bid packages as follows with bidders responsible for the associated bid package contract scope of work.
PROJECT SCOPE: Generally, the project scope of work consists of demolition of the existing areas and construction of the new Interventional Radiology Room Equipment Replacement and the Two Operating Rooms Build Out, including associated partition relocation, overhead structural mounts for Owner provided equipment, new doors, new finishes and associated MEP work within the rooms. All work is complete with all materials, labor, structural, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical work, etc. as indicated in the drawings and as specified. This project includes Owner Purchased, Contractor Installed equipment, pre-ordered to assist with delivery schedule. Scheduled deliveries and installation of Owner provided equipment will be coordinated by the Owner’s Construction Manager with the work of the trade contractors to ensure that areas are completely ready for Owner’s equipment arrival. The project scope of work associated with each Bid Package is further described in detail in the project manual Bid Package Summary of Work for each respective Bid Package.
The Project Scope of Work will be performed while areas outside of the defined project Limits of Work are occupied by Memorial Hospital. Strict conformance to the specified Infection Control guidelines is required, to include installation of temporary partitions and negative air pressure systems, construction noise abatement, and ability to organize work with flexible hours and manage disruption in continuity of work is vital to the successful completion of the project. The CMa shall lead the coordination of this effort, and bidders shall be able to prove and demonstrate the ability to perform this Scope of Work in these restrictive environments and shall be able to prove experience in the Healthcare environment within the last five (5) years. Bidders may meet this requirement by assigning to the project a team in which the members are able to demonstrate their healthcare abilities and qualifications including but not limited to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) experience.
Owner reserves the right to review qualifications of Bidders prior to award of Contract.
For each of the Prime Contracts, the Contract Time for the Project Scope of Work is (200) Calendar Days, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day shall apply, and a Performance and Payment Bond is required of the successful bidder.

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Lagniappe Room, right off the main dining room, on the First Floor of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport at the time and date first noted at the top of this advertisement.
Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Form of Contract Bond, Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:
1. Office of the Construction Manager, Andercorp,1404 24th Ave, Suite 300, Gulfport, MS 3950.
2. Office of the Architect, EGH Architects, P.A., 1091 Tommy Munro Drive, Biloxi, Mississippi 39532.
3. During examination no verbal questions may be asked, and none will be answered. All bidding questions must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
To assist Bidders during the bid period, one (1) Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with a site visit immediately following. Bidders must attend both the Pre-Bid Conference and the Site Visit. The Pre-Bid Conference will be convened in the same room planned for the public bid opening, the Lagniappe Room, right off the main dining room, on the First Floor of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
All proposals must be filed with Memorial Hospital prior to the opening time as stated above. Bids received after opening time will not be opened and will be considered non-responsive. All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelopes as follows: SEALED BID: MEMORIAL HOSPITAL at Gulfport, Interventional Radiology (IR) Room Equipment Replacement and Two Operating Rooms (OR) Build Out, BID Package # X {List all bid packages included}, to be opened on {Contractor to insert bid date here}. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the Bidder and Memorial Hospital assumes no responsibility for the premature opening of same by any hospital employee.
Bidders must indicate CERTIFICATE OF RESPONSIBILITY NUMBER on the outside of the sealed proposal. Any proposal lacking this number will not be opened.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid (or upload at Bidders Option), security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required from the successful Bidders. Bidders shall comply with the law of the State of Mississippi requiring Certificate of Responsibility.
Resident contractors shall, in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi, be granted preference over non-residents in the award of this contract in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the non-resident. A non-resident contractor shall attach to his proposal a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.
The successful bidder must adhere to the Owner’s policy concerning non-discrimination without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin or handicap. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
No bid shall be considered awarded until such time as all contract documents have been signed and received by both parties.
